Nathusius’ Pipistrelle Pipistrellus nathusii
A medium-sized pipistrelle and one of Europe’s longest-distance migratory bats, recorded in Suffolk chiefly at coastal sites on passage in spring and autumn. Slightly larger and paler than the Common pipistrelle; reddish-brown to buff-brown fur; dark wing membranes; echolocates at around 38 kHz.
