COLEOPTERA

County Recorder: Howard Mendel

The late David Nash computerised many Suffolk records with the aim of producing a book on the Beetles of Suffolk. Copies of his records are also held at SBIS. Ipswich Museum collections also contain many localised records. There are currently over 52,000 records on the SBIS database.

Colin Hawes has been researching Stag Beetles in Suffolk, there is an online form for recording sightings.

Useful guidance and links for anyone wishing to study this group can be found on the Coleopterist website
SWT has a factsheet on Glow worms
